Eastleigh, Hedge End and Chandler’s Ford sit within easy reach of our Bishop’s Waltham office, and a good deal of our work in this area involves people who have accumulated pensions across several employers rather than planned them.
The workplace pension problem
Automatic enrolment has been running since 2012. Anyone who has changed jobs a few times since then may hold several small pots, each with different charges, different investments and different rules. Consolidating is sometimes sensible and sometimes a mistake — older schemes occasionally carry guarantees that are easy to lose and impossible to recover.
Working out which is which is a large part of what we do, and it is the sort of question that pays to ask before you act rather than after.
What we advise on
Pensions and SIPPs, retirement planning, ISAs and investments, life insurance and protection, and estate and inheritance tax planning.

Occupational pension schemes are regulated by The Pensions Regulator. The value of your investment, and the income from it, can go down as well as up and you may not get back the full amount you invested.
The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate tax advice. Tax treatment varies according to individual circumstances and is subject to change.
